About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience things that challenge my senses.

ABOUT ME

I seek out the kind, curious, and ambitious, and try to exhibit these characteristics on a regular basis. I enjoy dry humor very much. I want to be a doctor. I will talk very fast when I first meet you. I am an avid conversationalist, but really value my quiet time once in a while. I want to learn everything about everything, and then tell someone about it.

PHILOSOPHY

To never have any sort of concrete, static "personal philosophy".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had the chance to surf once, in Barcelona. I had an amazing time and got to spend quality time with locals, and learn about a different side of the city. (Te echo de menos, Simon!!)

Interests

Anatomy and physiology; political philosophy, art: its process, creation and its history; modern Spanish history; medieval monarchies; the M Theory; learning to speak eloquently and, more importantly, to listen.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all movies that are by Wes Anderson, or that are depressing, or that are historically accurate. Music: basics like Zeppelin and the Beatles to electropop like Calvin Harris, to experimental sounds like How Town, to indie rock like Sunset Rubdown and Wolf Parade. I´m from Austin, so maybe that helps? Authors: Bukowski, Eggers, Berman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After four months living in Barcelona, I was supposed to go back home to Texas and finish my last year of college. However, I decided I wasn't done with my experience yet, so in a split-second decision I canceled my flight home, and was "homeless" for a month in Barcelona before I found a more permanent place to stay for another couple of months!

It was exhilarating and sometimes scary being out on my own, but I met many more locals, improved my Spanish, and it marked the beginning of the most colorful part of my time in Spain.

Countries I’ve Visited

Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
