ABOUT ME

Who is Becca? This is a question that I am working on myself. I live on beautiful Orcas Island with my love Nate. Close by are my mom, twin sister and older brother. I also have another older brother. older sister and younger sister... ranging 42 years. 2 moms and 2 dads but all family. My family is the center of my heart. I wouldn't make it without them. Ive worked as a dental assistant for 5 years here on the island. I majored in mechanical engineering ~ slightly different areas but all mechanics. I always thought that I was going to train horses and riders, I still may. Im still young. At the age of 26 I am taking my first true adventure. 3 months in beautiful Costa Rica. Nate and I have no agenda except to experience the beautiful country and people. This summer on the island was very rainy so we decided instead of winter we would like summer, and Costa Rica came with many good references. It really does just speak for itself.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy on this world is it can't last the way that we are headed. There must be a shift in this world. We need to be able to sustain ourselves with food, energy and lodgings. There will be an end to this commercialism and it will be before we know it. There is a core of people that can see this shift occuring now. Minimal as it may be we need to pay attention. The world has been trying to tell us she's not happy with whats been going on. The only thing constant is change; and I for one know that I need to change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am ashamed to admit but here goes. Ive never couch surfed before. I know dont say it. I have never experienced anything like it. This doesn't mean I havent had unknown guests stay with me, I have and they have become great friends. That is why I am doing it. As soon as we return from our adventures in the south, we will have our couch back up for accomodation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy "entertainment" From all types of music to books and movies. In my CD Player I have my sisters album From Far Away by Katie Gray. (You can check out her stuff at www.myspace.com/katiegraysongs) I am her biggest fan. Also from PremJoshua to Beck. The best book I have read was the Power of One. A friend gave it to me to read. I will be forever grateful for that. And movies, if they can hold a plot and good acting I will most likely enjoy it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen many amazing things in this world. To narrow it down to the best would not be possible. But i think that a triple rainbow over the ocean and islands with dark sky and a beautiful sun luminating it was pretty spectacular.
