关于我

I'm a touring songwriter based in Austin, TX. I've also lived in Atlanta, GA, Washington, DC, Boston, MA and in my car for long stretches of time. I make my living as a traveling songwriter, performing as many shows as I possibly can everywhere it makes sense.

I try my best to be nice to everyone I meet and hope everyone else will do the same. I believe we all deserve to be loved and happy.

I've had amazing experiences as a couchsurfer, both on the CS website and in the world at large. I'm not currently in a spot where I can host and it's been awhile since I've used the site to organize places to stay, BUT I love the community here and I'm sure I'll always use it a little here and there. It's too much fun to stay away :-)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The summer after my freshmen year in college (I was only 17 because I graduated highschool at 16) I decided to participate in the AIDSRide from New York to Boston. I raised $2700 for AIDS research and treatment, and rode 350 miles in 4 days on my bicycle (which was a HUGE increase from bumping 2-3 miles a day around Boston in my normal daily life as a student!) Participating in the ride was really an important life event for me - it was a decision I made 100% on my own, and something I accomplished inspite of the fact that my loved ones (who are always extremely supportive of me) were all concerned that perhaps I had taken on too large a task.

On the third day (which was by far the longest - 110 miles!), I was among the last 5 bikers to cross the finish line - we were given a volunteer motorcycle escort to ride beside us to keep us lit and safe in the dusk. Crossing the finish line after 13 hours on my bike to the thunderous cheers of hundreds of volunteers and other cyclists who had gathered to welcome the last few riders into camp is one of my most cherished memories.
