About to embark on an Oahu adventure with my love, Sochi Ezeemo, and I'm looking for friends and yards where we can safely pitch our tent and leave our stuff safely and cook you dinner! Also open to sleeping indoors if asked, but perfectly content in Hawaiian yards or protected areas of beach (recommendations?) We are staying at a backpacker's inn at Pupukea, but we are open to exploring anywhere on the island between December 16 and 25th! We could even be persuaded over to Kauai for a bit because I already love that magical isle. Can't wait to fall in love with her sister Oahu! <3 Much love and good vibes, Hawaii fam!

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! I graduated from the the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I studied literature and international relations, then spent three years working with students in Santa Cruz as an environmental and progressive organizer and some months as a travelling artist and community activist in Costa Rica, Panama and California. Pura vida mae and Mni Wiconi to those who know what those phrases mean ;)

I love traveling and have been lucky to have been many places already but plan to spend my life wandering and learning and relearning and continuing to have experiences that remind me how much more there is to learn and live through and fall in love with. I'm very friendly and positive and I love to laugh and meet new people. Did we just become best friends?

I love couch surfing and enjoyed it all over Europe and in Morocco and I loved hosting from my own apartment in SB and SC

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far one amazing couch surfing experience in Lyon, France, and two different awesome stays in Morocco (in Marrekech and Casablanca), a short (but sweet!) stay in Brighton, UK :D, once in Prague, once in London, once in Lagos, Portugal and have hosted quite a few travelers in Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I were to just pick one experience, I think it would be teaching campamentos in the small, fairly poor village of Pedro Corto in the Dominican Republic. In an area where it was difficult to obtain even the pens and paper to begin learning, I encountered so many kids with such an amazing perspective to offer, so eager and willing to learn. This experience has convinced me that I would like to work with kids. I'm especially motivated to work with young kids in an outdoor setting about environmental issues. I want everyone to have the kinds of opportunities to learn that I was lucky enough to grow up with!

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm....I can speak Spanish and English and whistle. I can speak Gibberish in both languages if you know what that is :) I know some riddles and jokes and quite a bit about some history and literature but I always love learning more. I love learning about anything and everything!
