Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Will be travelling to London and Scotland for a week and hoping to stay with some great people. When I move to Australia in October I am hoping to give people a great experience in a new country for both of us.

Interests

Currently I am a student at Carleton University in Political Science. I will be graduating this year and heading out to Australia in 2014. I like to keep busy with friends by socializing and I really like to learn new things about everyone's past experiences. I work as a Residence Advisor currently (this means I am similar to a House mom for first year university students), I help first year students adjust to life away from their parents and even life in a new country (for some). I really enjoy running and yoga. I also curl and enjoy shopping too! Also I have a minor in ASL (American Sign Language) and religion. I love learning everything I possibly can about new cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been on a plane when it was on fire. The fire was only on the wing of the plane and we were able to emergency land in Germany. It is amazing how many things happen in life that make you appreciate everyday to the fullest. Even if you don't realize it, I feel like we have all had very close calls and should continue to live in the present.

I have a basic understanding of Sign Language and am willing to get people into the first stages of learning about this unique language and culture.
