About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be here now

ABOUT ME

I'm a big fan of travel but I'm setting some roots down in Austin right now. I work in sustainable international infrastructure development downtown, and I'm a yoga instructor.

PHILOSOPHY

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started hosting couchsurfers a couple years ago, then traveled for a while, couchsurfing around the UK, Europe and some of Central America. Now I'm back in Austin and happy to host surfers again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting is just the best. You get the benefits of travel, such as an exchange of cultures and spending time with new people, but it's in your own living room. The adventure comes to you! Of course, surfing is a wonder as well. Never short on stories and you truly get to see some of the best (or at least the most absurd) shades of humanity, on a global scale.

Interests

Aside from travel, yoga, and tea, I am a movie lover, a book lover, a teeny-bopper 90's melodrama tv series lover (Oh HEY Dawsons Creek), I'm a pre and post pardum doula (birth attendant), and I'm just the worst at growing plants. Oh and I love to cook! Especially for large groups. I cook mostly vegetarian meals but it's more out of budget constraints over morality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Camino de Santiago

Created a video as a submission to be a Wild Guide (enjoy): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuFyDY3I4cg

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a yoga instructor and I love teaching, so you can come to one of my yoga classes, or if time permits, we can go to a park nearby and do some outdoor yoga!

I can also teach you about Texas state-level politics, the subtle nuances of the horror film genre, and how to make thai iced tea.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A welcoming home!
