About Me
CURRENT MISSION
live fully, love extravagantly
ABOUT ME
we like meeting all sorts of new people, experiencing different cultures and perspectives, and just generally hanging out and having a good time. We love our friends and family, and of course our dog, and try to spend time enjoying the moments where we are... No matter where that is!
PHILOSOPHY
life is a journey of learning and growing... i've been given this life for a reason and so i want to savour every moment, good or bad. my purpose is wrapped up in God and i am continually getting new perspective on this relationship..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are girl and a boy who are married and live in a quaint house with our strange but lovable dog. We like people and they generally like us, and love it when we can offer a peaceful place for others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosted by some amazing people through couch surfing. It's an amazing way to get beyond just seeing a place to really experiencing it. Such hospitality.
Interests
people, music (playing and listening), God, nature, travelling, cooking/eating food, dancing, trying new things, family and friends, history and different cultures, art, sports on occasion (you can't live in manitoba and not get to a hockey game once in a while), making things...

Music, Movies, and Books
-i love ALL KINDS of music, and like to discover the talent that exists away from the mainstream
-everyone suggests the book love, eat, pray (or something like this). i'd like to read it but i'm horrible at finishing books so we'll see. i read the Bible and James Herriot ;)
-i have lame taste in movies. i'm ok with that. i'm trying to convince someone to watch karate kid with me right now
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
while working at an orphanage in haiti, i took care of a little guy who was HIV+, 4 yrs old, and very sickly- his brother was getting adopted but not him. after some hopeful coaxing, they tested him one more time for HIV and it came back negative... and he got to be adopted with his brother! he got a second chance on life really and that was truly amazing
-on a completely different note, watching a prairie sunset in my hometown, or driving the new zealand coastline were amazing and beautiful things in their own way
Teach, Learn, Share
