ABOUT ME

I became obsessed with Latin culture many years ago and continue to look for opportunities to speak Spanish, dance salsa, and travel in Latin America. I came back to the states for a graduate program in Community Social Psychology which I completed last May. I finally completed my move across the country to California, where I may live happily ever after.

PHILOSOPHY

I want as much love and happiness in my life as I can have. I believe in being open and honest and I enjoy thinking about and working on communication skills. I believe that when people are given the right forum, anything can be discussed and accomplished.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosted by amazing people and I would love the opportunity to do the same for others. I can't promise a couch, but I definitely would like to meet travelers as they come by and see if it works out to host them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a family in Argentina who were fantastic. I also had a great CS experience in Austin. Before that, I definitely couch surfed and travelers have stayed with me, but it wasn't formal or through any websites.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Robert A. Heinlein is my favorite author... he wrote Stranger in a Strange Land and many, many other books, some of which are good and some of which aren't (but I enjoy all of them) In terms of movies, I only like them if they are good.. I enjoy documentaries.. and I am currently pretty much willing to watch anything in spanish.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I went to Burning Man, a gigantic festival in Nevada (US). People create a city with 40,000 people for one week... build everything, and then tear everything down. It is a gifting society where there is no money... nothing to buy at all (except coffee and ice.. the only exceptions).

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I've taught ESL in the past. I can teach some guitar basics, some juggling, and salsa dancing. As far as learning goes, I'm all about it. I look forward to lots of idea exchange and cultural exchange as well.
