ABOUT ME

My names becky. I'm a 19year old Irish student currently travelling australia.
I just finished school and decided to travel for a year before starting University. I'll be studying philosophy and linguistics, which I'm extremly interested in. I love all things artsy and I'm very passionate about science. I also love to learn new languages. I speak English and irish. I'm on the verge of being fluent in German, and im trying to learn french at the moment, Latins next!

I picked Australia because I figured the further away from home the more adventurous, and of course the sun which is severely lacking in Ireland!
I have been to a lot of countries in Europe but hope to do them all next summer 2016. I spent this Christmas in Thailand, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been with the most beautiful people.

I'm very easy going and love an adventure. I try not to take life too seriously. I love experiencing new people and learning new things from them, aswell as hopefully teaching them new things too. Under no circumstances will I ever turn down a drink or a party, I guess that's the irish in me. I try to make the most out of life and give the people around me good memories .

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a beautiful place, I aim to see as much of it as I possibly can. Kindness will always result in more kindness, it's good karma.

Couchsurfing came highly recommended by friends from all over the world. It seems like a great way to meet new people and have some new experiences.

I love travelling, eventually hope to see the whole world. I also have a strong passion for music. I play guitar, piano and violin. Despite my classical side I mainly listen to reggae but i love adding different genre's to my playlist. I adore animals, cocktails and sunshine. Meeting new people and experiencing different cultures is my main reason for travelling, however I do love nature and the sights you see around the world make up the rest of my reason to travel.

I love all types of music from pharcyde to Marley, kid cudi, flume, disclosure, outkast, lana del rey, bakermat, artic monkeys.. I could go on forever.
As for movies there are too many to name but I have a soft spot for Disney. And the list for books is infinite.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I did tour de picnic, A 80km cycle to a festival in ireland called 'electric picnic' in aid of a charity, i did it for barnardos childrens charity.
The cycle is through the wicklow mountains which is extremly hilly. I did it on my fixie, a bike with no gears. 10km in my brake fell off so i completed it with no gears and no brakes. This was probly more stupid than amazing..
