About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Following my Heart

ABOUT ME

I've lived close to Seattle, WA my whole life and I just want to get out there and experience what some other cities are like... the people, the music, and the natural landscapes! I don't have a job right now so I have some free time to travel. I'm considering getting a job and living in a different city for a while, so I want to visit lots of different ones!
I'm hoping to use this website to find some awesome people to stay with, for 1 to 3 nights at a time as I visit each city. I would happily sleep on a couch, a clean floor, or pitch my tent in your backyard.

I would ESPECIALLY enjoy staying with people who are energetic, laugh a lot, love the outdoors, eat good food, and extra bonus if you like to make music or dance!

- I will try to describe myself - I have a deep love for life and the earth, and I am highly motivated to enjoy it all as much as I can, share in kindness and joy with others, and heal the problems on the Earth to the best of my ability! I try to challenge my own beliefs often and understand the origins of my thoughts and emotions (and the difference between them). I am accepting of people that are different than me, but I especially enjoy spending time with people I have something in common with, so that we can share a connection. I laugh a lot and I always have a good attitude about pretty much everything! I love to explore, I can be playful like a little kid but mature at the same time. I have a strong sense of spirituality, but am not attached to any particular religion or rituals at the moment except for the simple appreciation of nature and humans and animals. :)

-I've been playing fiddle for about a year so I'm not great yet but I'm learning, if anyone out there plays old-time or bluegrass or irish music on any instrument, I'd be happy to jam or trade some tunes! I've also got a guitar with me, and I know a lot of lyrics so I could even play songs for you or teach you songs in exchange for the shelter. ^_^

-I'm traveling by car, so I'm also open to giving people rides as I drive from place to place.

PHILOSOPHY

show love and kindness to other people, animals, and the earth

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a big movie watcher. I love reading books in the company of others though and discussing books with people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This happened 2 days ago - I was backpacking with a friend at Icicle Creek in Leavenworth. A male barred owl hooted in the distance. My friend knew it was the mating call of the male, so he responded with the call of the female! As the male came closer and closer to us, it started doing a different barred owl call, basically one that says "hey female owl i know youre out there, lets get it on!!" My friend responded to that call too. He sounded just like an owl!! The poor confused male hovered around our campsite for a while, hooting and hooting, then finally left to go (hopefully) find a real female owl mate.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook some cool things, i can teach lots of different dance styles, and probably a lot of other things too.
