About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Profite bien!

ABOUT ME

I've just moved back to my hometown in the U.S. after a year living in France. I'm adjusting back to American life while looking for a job in the publishing industry. I'm eager to experience couchsurfing in the U.S., since I've only done it in Europe so far. I'm still really interested in traveling, although now I'm focusing on my own country.

PHILOSOPHY

still figuring that out although I have some ideas

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time at the beginning of November 2008 in Berlin. It worked out really well- I stayed with 2 different hosts with my boyfriend. They were both very nice and accommodating, and helpful. Since then I've couchsurfed in France and Spain, and all were really good! I can't wait to see what it's like in the U.S.

Interests

reading, writing, traveling, music- almost anything except country and some rap, learning new languages, movies (I'm starting to watch them in French), running, rock climbing and hiking (although I don't do these nearly as much as I'd like), eating

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: all kinds, except horror

music: some of my faves: Regina Spektor, the Beatles, Feist, Death Cab for Cutie, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Annie Lennox, Coldplay, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Vanessa Carlton, Bright Eyes, Dave Matthews Band, Feist, Gavin DeGraw, Jimmy Eat World, The Killers, Nabac, The Postal Service,Rufus Wainwright and much much more. Please suggest some new artists!

books: way too many to list here, but here are some highlights: The Time Traveler's Wife, Ordinary People, Harry Potter series, most by Jane Austen, Jennifer Johnston, Eavan Boland. I know I'm forgetting others, but I'll update as I remember.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have so much to learn! Mostly I like to learn about culture, people, music, literature, and languages. Among other things. One thing I'm learning now is how to teach. Any tips?
