About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm interested in meeting new people, hearing crazy and interesting stories, and seeing the world.

ABOUT ME

I currently run my own dog walking company in Boston and play with puppies all day :). I recently adopted my own puppy too and she loves new people.

I studied jewelry/metal smithing in college and still make stuff in my free time.
My portfolio is at www.coroflot.com/beckyslevine if you're curious :)

PHILOSOPHY

I like to live as spontaneously as possible and try not to take anything too seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met some amazing and fascinating people couchsurfing; it's such a unique and wonderful way to experience a place.

Interests

My favorite days are spent playing with puppies, making art, chatting with friends at coffee shops, hiking up a mountain, or walking for hours exploring new places.

I love thrift stores or tiny specialty stores. I also really love grocery stores haha :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I love animation (especially stop motion). One of my favorites is "A Town Called Panic."
Oh, and Nicolas Cage (he's just so awful and wonderful haha)

Music - an eclectic mix; jazz, folk, alternative pop

I'm also an avid listener of podcasts. The dogs don't talk much so when I'm walking them I listen to podcasts ;). If you want any recommendations I've listened to probably hundreds at this point!

Books - I really like funny (mostly) true autobiographies/memoirs and books about strange history (especially books on medical history); David Sedaris and Jonathan Goldstein are two of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't pick just one so here's a list of my top 5 :)

Hiking up the Trap Dike to reach the summit of Mount Colden in the Adirondack Mountains

Sleeping under the stars in the desert in Israel

Watching the sunrise in Florence

Camping on the Frioul islands off of Marseille

Walking 40km through Czechia

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: anything you'd ever want to know about dogs, weird fun facts about medical oddities, art, origami, cooking and baking, funny/interesting/disturbing stories about all sorts of topics

Learn: I love to cook and I'm always looking for new food to try. I also have a budding interest in gardening. Otherwise I'm always eager to learn anything unusual, interesting, and unexpected!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Grandma skills! I love to bake delicious things (rugelach is my latest treat of choice), I can mend almost anything, and I can tell you how to get that stain out of your favorite jacket.

Encouragement and ideas! I grew up in a family of freelancers and really enjoy hearing about other people's ideas and encouraging them to go into business for themselves! If you're struggling with an idea I'd love to hear about it and come up with some solutions!
