About Me

CURRENT MISSION

dont stop 'till you get enough!

ABOUT ME

Born in Atlanta, then I moved to Colorado and learned why the Front Range is the fastest growing area in the country.

Boulder, CO is an easy place to love, but have moved back to the other side of the world and am teaching history at an international school in Saigon. Here for the next 2 years!

PHILOSOPHY

"Forget most, remember some, but dont turn none away" -Townes Van Zant

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Give a penny, take a penny. Oh, wait, I meant couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been indiscriminate with most places I lay my head, it all adds to the experience and one I'm always grateful for.

Already, it's shown me there's so much to gain from these visits while traveling. And its great to host too.

Interests

Rock climbing (trad and sport), live music (if it sounds good, then it is good), seeing new places, YOGA, somatic education, cooking/nutrition, Chinese medicine, studying Vietnamese

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - All kinds of stuff! The New Mastersounds. Widespread Panic!!! Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.

Movies - A sampling: Inglourious Basterds, There Will Be Blood, Battle of Algiers, Truman Show, Adaptation

Books - I recently finished A Fine Balance which I'd recommend to everyone.

Mostly non-fiction, which I find far more interesting in terms of explaining our nature. I'm currently reading The Underground History of American Education by John Gatto. Wonder why American public ed is in such a sorry state? Check it out!

TV - Democracynow.org, The Life and Times of Tim, Squidbillies, Curb, Flight of the Conchords, Noam Chomsky talks, John Talyor Gatto talks, YouTube

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Appalachian Trail, fine way to see the east coast!
