About Me

I grew up in London but now I reside by the seaside town that is Brighton, UK. I left home at 18 to go to university and never looked back! I met a friend who has now become my housemate Marco Mund and both of us are very open to having people stay with us and continue our adventures. :D

So far since I started traveling two years ago I have been to, France, Barcelona, Germany (Bremen and Berlin), Amsterdam, Toronto, Cleveland Ohio, Portugal and Belgium. I am currently planning trips to Indonesia, Iceland, South Africa and Slovakia.

I love cooking from scratch, Zumba, boxing, yoga, festivals, gigs, gaming and so much more. I would consider myself quite spiritual, open-minded, I love the weird and the wonderful, almost everything fascinates me and my curiosity is neverending.

My only real goal in life is to really live before I die. Life is short but amazing. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Veni. Vidi. Amavi

I Came. I Saw. I Loved.

I've only recently discovered this phrase but I love it. It describes what I personally feel about traveling and exploring anything and everything. I am a person who quite often can hate change but I really enjoy the challenge, I practice exposure therapy by throwing myself into the deep end of any project, adventure, friendship etc in the hopes to not only help myself develop but to also get a better understanding of what drives people to be who they are.

Couchsurfing to me is like having a best friend or multiples for a few days. You spend time together, get to know each other, its a more intimate and deeper bonding experience of strangers and people are pretty amazing 99% of the time.

Growth is one of the most important things to me in terms of what I value and nothing makes me feel more at home than learning something new with someone. :D

Generally, we stick to 2 days maximum when people stay with us but are willing to let people stay longer depending on the circumstance.

One of my all-time favorite books is The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Nighttime (Tugged at my heartstrings a little).

Love anything Disney and horror :) an odd combination I know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a hard one. I guess the most amazing thing I have done in terms of how I felt about it would be The Worlds Biggest Eye Contact Event.

I had always been afraid of eye contact. I couldn't look at people for more than 3 seconds without shutting down. I decided to go and I went alone. I sat in front of 7 beautiful strangers, who I had deep conversations with and who taught me how to embrace human connection for all that it is. It changed my entire life and since that day I haven't felt the same.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make authentic Jamaican food, how to write stories, make festival clothing, geology if you fancy learning about rocks!

I want to learn new languages and although I only speak one fluently currently I hope by the time I am 30 I can speak multiple. French is high on my list, along with Japanese and I have a soft spot for Portuguese, Italian and Danish.

I have an assortment of crazy, random and interesting stories I can share. I am very much an open book and love thought-provoking questions, life is full of so many weird and wonderful moments and I love to share them. <3

What I Can Share with Hosts

An uncontrollable amount of laughter, random stories, an enthusiasm that will get you out of bed in the morning and an open head and heart that will keep me in your thoughts. Well at least until the next person comes along! :D
