About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Lovin' and livin' life

ABOUT ME

I am very easy going and I love meeting new people. On a typical day you can find me surfing the internet, doing yoga, playing my guitar, or jetskiing on the lake. I love being outdoors whether that is riding my bike or hiking. Not only that but In the past few years I have gained a huge passion for traveling and seeing new things and making new friends. The best memories I have of being in a foreign country are all because of the people I shared the experiences with. I am looking to make life long friends from all kinds of countries and back grounds. I grew up in a small town in Idaho, USA. I like to entertain and two of my strengths are inclusiveness and hospitality. I would love to have you come stay with me.

For those who are into and understand anything about Personality profiling, I am an ENFP (This link will give a brief summary of my personality for those who aren't familiar with the term. http://www.personalitypathways.com/dom-ne.html) and my personality colors are Orange closely followed by blue. I am not very green or gold. In short it means that the things that motivate me the most are Adventure (Orange) and Emotions (Blue). Green and gold are Logic and organization.

PHILOSOPHY

Smile, happy looks good on you. Lifes too short to be lived worrying and holding grudges.
Anger and frustration solves nothing. We come across trouble or set-backs and we must deal with them the best we can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have tried to get involved in couch surfing but so far have not had very good luck! I havent hosted anyone or stayed with anyone. I really want to dive into the CS community. I am a part of several groups on here and am currently planning a trip to Europe next summer with my boyfriend. We are going to try to stay with friends as much as possible and would love to meet some new ones!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've yet to have any! But I love the idea of couch surfing and can't wait to get started on my adventures!

Interests

I love music. Guitar, piano. Basically anything that I can sing along to. I often find myself in spontaneous jam sessions with friends.
Being outdoors, jet-skiing and boating on the lake or river. Bicyling from time to time. 4-wheeling in the mountains during the summer and heading into the hills to watch the motor cross races during the summer.
Religion fascinates me. I am currently studying Christian, Protestant theology but I love hearing about other beliefs (This being said, I am not into debating over who is right or wrong, just learning what makes each religion unique or similar.)

I love working with teenagers. This past couple of years I have spent most of my free time interning in several youth programs. One of them is an addiction recovery program called 'Celebrate Recovery' in the states. We deal with teenagers who are struggling with drug and alcohol addictions as well as guys and girls who have been sexually abused and neglected.

I could spend way too much time just laying on the beach soaking up the sun.
I love sitting down over a cup of coffee and spending hours just talking with good friends. Although, I think friendships are defined by being able to sit in silence together without any pressure for forced communication.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read, although I've been slacking in that department most recently.
I was raised with two parents working in radio, so I grew up with a pretty wide range and appreciation of music. I love bands like U2 and Jason Mraz. Country music is great, some Tim McGraw, George Strait, or Rascal Flatts. I also love building my music collection of cd's from other countries. It adds a nice twist to my music collection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, thats hard to say. In 2009 I spent a few weeks in Peru work with Extreme nazarene on a short term missions project. I would say the most exciting/amazing thing I have done would be the current adventure I am on. I am studying abroad in northern Switzerland on the border of Germany. I've spent a lot of time traveling in the last few months and have been having the time of my life. I hope to one day come back and spend more time in Eastern Europe traveling. Maybe do a back packing trip through eastern Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me anything! See me as a journal or a book that has yet to be written into. I love going on spontaneous adventures and trying new things. I am usually not one to say no to a good adventure. I love learning to cook new recipes or learning a new sport or hobby (no making fun of my lack of cordination!). I'm fascinated by hearing about other religions or learning new traditions in culture.
