About Me

CURRENT MISSION

sending out good vibrations (:

ABOUT ME

After spending way too many years in my hometown, I packed my stuff for my (so called) post grad studies and plunged into beautiful and chilled California. Spending my days with whimsical, open minded, arty, cultured, lovely folks and being exposed to hippie San Franciso life style, I knew that it would never be the same!(: Going back home was unbearably comfortable and familiar, so I found myself dreaming about the mysterious southern hemisphere (ok, I gotta admit, it's not that different. driving on the wrong side and that kind of stuff:)I've just finished my masters degree and currently only enjoying my daily routines and discovering the city more and more. I also write for some online publications and help people find out the cool spots and unusual activities in the city. A big fan of being spontaneous, unexpected and random things keep me on the go. That's why I was swiftly hooked to CS(:

PHILOSOPHY

It's all about living with your heart, being brave, excited and spontaneous!

After all, "the brain is the most overrated organ" ((: - Woody Allen

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Some friend dragged me to a CS party, where I met myriad of groovy people. That was my first encounter with CS folks. Ever since (umm, just 2 weeks!) I've been going to CS events and enjoying them well and truly. When I move from my studio (which I can hardly squeeze in) to a larger place, I'll start hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just 4 social gatherings so far. As a big fan of 'randomness', it amazes me how a huge variety of different people get together randomly and have memorable good times together.
I'm looking forward to couch surf and host couch surfers to enhance the random experiences (:

Interests

*Discovering cities! No matter how much I'd like to be keen on nature (and activities like camping/hiking etc.), I just can't. I love exploring the urban life, fishing out for the best coffee, funkiest hang-outs, unique activities, groovy events. Hit me up if you wanna learn Melbourne life, at its best!(;

*Speaking of which, I love writing about them too! Check out: http://www.broadsheet.com.au/melbourne/ and http://www.milkbarmag.com/

*Film photography. Old school, baby!

*Movies, visual arts, drawing, zoning out, procrastinating

Not a big deal, but probably I can't be happier than the moment I was free-falling when I did skydiving.

So many opportunities to learn from people, and give back things in return. Sharing good times, yes! Isn't it what it's all about?
