ABOUT ME

Grew up in Alta, Wyoming (200 population), moved to Bend, Oregon, and then on to 6 other locations around the US and France since 2006. Skiing was my life, but then I discovered kite surfing! I also just bought a 40' sailboat to explore the islands with, do some racing, and eventually take a two year trip around the world! My current situation involves flying the Dash-8 37-seater for 2 months in different locations around the world for work, then kite-surf, hike, and play for 2 months in Hawaii. I love where I'm at and hope it doesn't change for a while. Life is perfect :)

PHILOSOPHY

Balance the future and the present. The number one goal in life is to enjoy the present, which takes past investment of time and effort.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on 2 month-long couchsurfing trips through europe, roadtripped through mexico, couchsurfed Phillippines, Russia, Peru, and Kuwait, and most recently completed a round-the-world trip using the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing to Thailand and back.

While living in Hawaii I host a constant stream of very cool couchsurfers from all over the world including Sweden, Singapore, Canada, and fellow US'ers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Competed in the Birkebeiner cross country ski race in Norway. Thousands of racers on a 58k course. Those 70 year old Norwegians are hard core!

Teach, Learn, Share

Europass in Europe is awesome, but try for the Interrail pass. It's twice as cheap, has twice as many countries, but requires 6 months of residence in Europe.
