About Me

CURRENT MISSION

An enthusiast looking for other enthusiasts!

ABOUT ME

I'm a musician and sound artist and have just moved back to London after graduating from a fine arts degree in sound last year. I'm not sure how long i'm here for, it will depend on what kind of doors open for me and what adventures come along..

I love to sing, play violin and percussion, make nature recordings and observe the sounds around me.

My beautiful friend Emily and I have started a movement whereby we are now 'The Enthusiasts'- A category of human dedicated to harnessing the art of enthusiasm- Particularly in grey places like London. Any other enthusiasts are welcome to join..

So I am an easily excitable, happy person who is always up for an adventure.. Be it a chat, walk, hike, or a mission to the far reaches of the universe.
I get excited when I find things that I feel make the world a better place.. Whether TED talks (one in particular about how mushrooms can save the world), alternative sustainable housing technologies, or just having a friendly chat with someone..

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that humans DO in fact possess the power to make a bloody good world that works for everyone! Our individuality is for harnessing our own uniqueness not fighting it or trying to be anyone else but ourselves. For awhile now I've had this sneaking suspicion that there is a reason we ALL have different DNA... It's because we are ALL different and once we start celebrating our differences we will all be a much happier, united bunch of people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love documentaries, especially David Attenborough... A personal favourite is 'Encounters at the Edge of the World'- Werner Herzhog as he journeys to Antarctica.. Also just watched Going Clear (Church of Scientology expose) and the recent Edward Snowden doco- highly recommended!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was fortunate enough to visit Burning Man Festival in Nevada in 2009.. And for me it was like the 'peace on earth' that we have been crapping on about for so long.. A fully functional city where individualism is celebrated, gifts are given, things are swapped, there is no money, no rubbish, amazing and interactive art and incredibly active and inspiring people.. This festival definitely gave me hope that collectively humans DO have amazing potential to accomplish amazing things for the greater good..
