About Me

See the side you never saw; without the ones beside you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Couchsurfing, for me, is about making lasting connections and impressions whether it be through fleeting encounters or creating mutual stories. Although sometimes it takes me a few more coffees than usual ;). Just a larakin Aussie looking for a laugh and awesome experiences.

My hands are my tools; I have too many little projects on the go. I like to keep active, whether it be riding bikes, tossing the frisbee, or honing my bodyweight training (But, I'll have a crack at anything). Figuring out what others' passions I find inspiring and interesting, so if you've got anything to teach, I'm more than keen to learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in full immersion. . Something which translates into many facets of life. Experiencing a culture or place is made especially more significant when exposed to local knowledge and insights - what better way to make the most of your stay than to spend time with someone with a finger on the beat. Being able to share those beautiful moments of discovery with another is an experience timeless.

Interests

Currently I am an eager bike packer. Taking all my necessary items and a desire to see new places through the enriching lens of intentional travel by bicycle is amazing. If you're into bikes, great! If not, I am always interested in all topics of conversation.

I really enjoy reading for leisure - words fascinate me. Food excites me. New experiences get me out of bed in the morning. Combing them all? What a life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Body surfed the waves in Margaret River. Livin' in the Outback, Australia. The Great American road trip. Stumbled my way through Europe. Bounced through South East Asia by motorbike. Game drives in South Africa - but there is so much more out there!

Teach, Learn, Share

Mornings are always made, better by coffee and caffeinated conversation - I'd love to tell you a story with a delicious brew.

I am fascinated by language; origins, meanings and double entendres ;). But seriously.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of who I am is expressed in the kitchen. Clean, intentionally mad, experimental with generous handfuls of pizzazz. Contributions in the kitchen, whether it be preparing the meal or scrubbing the dishes, go both ways. I am always open to someone showing their own culinary reins. Perhaps you could teach me your favourite recipe?

Exploring whether it be by bicycle or other means - being active outdoors is invigorating - I'll jump at any such opportunity.

Perhaps some of the stories I've picked up along the way could keep you entertained as well - some crazy things happen in the jungles of Cambodia...
