About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to learn Basque and take advantage of living in Europe. This means traveling to as many places as I can!!
ABOUT ME
Well, my parents are from the Basque Country and from Leon, in Spain. They went to "live the American Dream" in the '70's and my sister and I were born in an unfortunate area of the world called Wyoming. I grew up there and developed a strong curiosity for the "Old World" so when I graduated from the University of Oregon I came to live in the Basque Country. To make a long story short I fell in love with the country, the lifestyle, and my husband! I've been here for 9 years now.
PHILOSOPHY
Live by the Golden Rule.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to sponsor as many people as contact me and be as good a host as I can. Tours of the area if I have time, and if not, as much information as I can to help out on each person's personal adventure through life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new at this so haven't had an experience, but as we traveled through Italy on our motorcycle I remember thinking there should be someplace where people could stay to recoup from a trip and make some new contacts. And as soon as I got back I found Couch Surfing! Love the idea!!
Interests
oh man,
Running, cycling, swimming, skiing, motorcycling, oil painting, photography, drinking good beers or fine wines, music, art, philosophy, learning languages, reading, dogs, hanging out with friends... I could go on and on, mainly the simple pleasures of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes! Everything, all genres, except maybe gore films, opera music, and depressing literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Move from the States to Europe, it's a whole different world over here!!
There are lots of other amazing things, but I'd hate to reveal my most treasured secrets.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love languages and I like comparing phrases from one language to another, I think the way we express ourselves tells a lot about who we are and where we come from and has a lot to do with our culture.
I also think we can learn a little from every experience we have so every situation has the potential of being a university degree in waiting.
