ABOUT ME

Well, i's a bit difficult to portray myself in words, and feels very strange because I make most of my living penning down my creative thoughts. However, I'm an average Indian male who grew up in the foothills of the Himalayas, and loves everything about the hills. I was into adventure tourism for about 8 years as a professional, conducting tours, treks, wildlife excursions and river rafting expeditions for school children and youth. Needless to say, the yearning is still very much there, although I have moved on to a different profession in the bustling metro of Mumbai for the last 10 years. To sum it all, I'm a simple man with simple likes and ideas in life.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto in life is: Pursue excellence in whatever you do, and success will follow. The easiest way to not be disappointed by people is to have minimum of expectations from them, although this is easier said than done.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love old Western classics, and most Tom Hanks movies. For those who have an idea of Indian movies, love Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan films. I like country music and am a fan of Sting and Phil Collins. The Fountainhead is a favourite, and love reading Robert Ludlum.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Before moving onto journalism and television, I was into Adventure Tourism for 8 years, conducting tours, treks, wildlife safaris, river rafting expeditions and so on for school children and youth. I once camped at an altitude of around 3000 metres, on the side of a lake in the Himalayas. As luck would have it, it was a full moon night and when the moon came out, it reflected on the snow peaks, which in turn had a reflection in the serene waters of the lake. I, along with other campers, sat there appreciating the beauty of Nature for almost three hours, with no one saying even a word...!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I believe that one can learn from anyone, even a child. I try to be as much observant as possible, and this enabled me to learn a lot from Nature. I believe that the greatest teachers is experience, and not necessary yours. The stories that old-timers share are often goldmines of learning.
