Trying to see as much as possible while living in Australia. Uni and work has forced me to cut back on my travels, but now I'm back in the couch surfing business!! Haha! Watch out, here I come!

ABOUT ME

Hello people out there,

my name is Becky. Born and raised in Germany I developed the love for traveling when I was 20, visiting the US and later then living for half a year in Sydney! Since then I never stopped wanting to see the world, been to Asia, New Zealand, Canada and some other places. Couchsurfing is for me one of the best experiences I have ever made in my life. Welcoming people who share the same way of thinking, willing to trust foreigners and to help others out. I can't stand the mistrust and greed for money anymore that I have to experience everyday again and again. That is why I love the idea of this website so much!
I would describe myself as a relaxed person who is open-minded to almost everything. I love sports (hockey, soccer, squash, hiking and whatever you ask me to try) what also influences my way of planning my vacation. I love to do stuff, whatever it is. That doesn't mean I don't like hanging out and chillaxing, that is important too, sometimes! In the times when I am not traveling (what happened unfortunately quite a bit lately...) I am a molecular biologist currently doing my PhD in Sydney, Australia!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I slept on some couches in Canada, and hosted a couple of times. So, I am not a pro but willing to become one!
So far, my experiences were awesome! In Vancouver I met 8 random people from Couchsurfing and we planned a 8 day hiking trip together. Worked out just fine!!! Met so many interesting people!
