About Me
ABOUT ME
My husband and I recently moved into a larger home which we are remodeling slowly. We have a spare bedroom with a double bed. We have a small dog that can be hesitant at first as he was a street dog and suffered abuse when young, you must be good and ok with dogs. Not many people come through this area, but those that do I'd love to help. We like to participate in community events, especially lower-budget events and of course yoga events (I'm a teacher), so can give a lot of suggestions for any time of year.
I like to travel and explore, but think that the best trips are those taken to places where you have a connection to learn about the local scene. Therefore, I love to visit old friends and use couchsurfing as a tool to meet new friends and learn about their neck of the woods, from a local's perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Been traveling for some time and enjoy using couchsurfing as a tool to meet locals. So far have had good experiences using CS and look forward to many more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed couches only with my boyfriend and not yet alone, however I have experiences meeting up with new CS friends in cities that are new to me and I think that it is an excellent way to make friends that have similar interests.
MEET UPS
Since I've used CS I've lived in tiny Asian studio apartments with my boyfriend, a dog, and a quiver of surf boards, bikes, yoga mats, books, etc. - basically there was never space to host guests, BUT I have met up with surfers in my city to show them around .
Interests
Yoga, travel, reading, eating!, interacting with animals- quite partial to my three dogs, history, family, friends, people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Joining the band for some late night djembe playing on two separate occasions at small music festivals in Costa Rica.
Being face to face with some sharks while shark diving at Busan Aquarium. Much tamer than it sounds, the sea turtles were actually more dangerous than the sharks, but it was still quite the site!
Sunrise at Saraksan, South Korea during a late December Christmas hike 2009. The view was worth the 3am grumpy wake up time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - see below, also English as I was an English teacher for years, but it's not my passion.
Learn - history, yoga, local food, local music (I like to see live music,) everything really, I like to learn
Share - the same as above
What I Can Share with Hosts
Yoga - I teach and specialize in beginners, so no worries if you're new to it. Yoga is for every body.
