About Me

I love to meet new people, it's always exciting and wakes me up every time. I like to reach into the unknown, except for those pokemons, I didn't like those so much, even though pokemon gold was my favorite game as a kid. I tend to go off track, both in my descriptions and in my commutes. I need a bicycle to quickly check out what around every corner in a new city. Having lived in Amsterdam the first 21 years of my life, I now love to live in strange places and continue to put myself outside of the comfort zone.

I'm now working as an intern at the embassy of my country in Lithuania, but I'm not stuck up at all on Friday evenings. Only during the work week when it's required from me.

Meditation is the crutch I can't live life without.

[I'll leave my older info here, it will show you how I've changed]

I just realized I should have written my profile in English.. anyway, I am a 24 year old guy that just finished studying European studies (for now) and is taking a year off to feel what it's like to live together, abroad. I am open minded, easy going, non-judgmental, sentimental, experimental, and looking for an apartmental couchsurfing oppurtunity and aware of environmental.. issues. I love to place myself in different environments, e.g. last year I worked as a garbage man for the city for a few months, which strongly contrasted with university life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to surf. On the waves, I mean. Preferably without a wetsuit. Couches are pretty awesome too. --> 1+1=Couchsurfing.

Seriously though, I love to meet people from different walks of life. After having played hockey and cricket for more than a decade, the stink from working as a garbage man in Amsterdam was a breath of fresh air. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to meet someone like YOU!

Interests

It's hard for me to explain why I like the things that I like. They give me good feelings and make me feel good about my self. Video games is something I'll never forget, but I wouldn't put it here because it doesn't make me happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

- I'm absolute in love with Molchat Doma, a Belorussian band. I went to a concert of them last weekend (6 October 2019) Check them out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84WZrgMpgbw

- Favorite movie is a tie between "Come and See" (1985) and "Five Easy Pieces" (1970)

- A lonely summit for my all-time favorite book; German novel "Berlin Alexanderplatz" (1929)

[leaving old stuff]

Op het moment bezig met The Hair of Harold Roux, A Walk on the Wild Side, Goodbye to All That, Vineland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off a pretty high cliff near Pula, Croatia last summer, even though I don't do these things usually. A boy, who couldn't have been more than 12, went before me, and I was tempted to lay my fears and reservations aside. A video can be provided at request.

Teach, Learn, Share

1. I can analyze a situation in an objective way, often helping to remove someone's fears or doubts about themselves.
2. Yugoslavia means "South Slavia"

[leaving old stuff below this]

I'm not sure what to put here. I know how to Google stuff, which, surprisingly, is a skill friends and family call upon. I like to learn new things, although my adult mind sometimes tell me it is impossible to learn a 12 second sequence of moving cups.
