Hey you! My name is Beerend, a 23 year old student from the Netherlands. I love music! Playing music (drums, guitar, whatever) as much as listening to music. Together with friends, I enjoy a couple of festivals during every summer. During these days, we care about enjoying life and we are always open towards meeting new people and unexpected adventures (okay, maybe not at very early mornings). Besides these great times, I study some nerdy stuff with computers and coding. I'll be happy to talk about that at any time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides music and technology, I love to travel. Mostly in Europe, but sometimes I dare to cross an ocean. As many of you might know, students are not too rich (which is very unfortunate). I see Couchsurfing as a platform to create unforgettable experiences together, for both hosts and visitors. Sharing knowledge, stories and a place; with everything for free! How good is that? That's what I'm hoping to find here, with you!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll just leave it at the music (let's call it a 'sneakpeak'): I enjoy indierock for quite some time now (Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, The Strokes, Franz Ferdindand, Vampire Weekend, Kings of Leon) as well as other Britisch (pop) music like Alt-J, Radiohead, Foster the People and Paolo Nutini. Furthermore, my musical interests reach from the electronic domain (drum 'n bass, techno) towards classic rock (Led Zeppelin) and other guitar music (Joe Bonamassa). Lots to listen to! Lots to talk about!
