ABOUT ME
hej!
i am originally from a small town near munich, germany. every now and then i do some travelling/backpacking. as i'd love to see more of the world i figured out it would be a fantastic thing to take part in couchsurfing. :)
PHILOSOPHY
wouldn't call it a philosophy, but didn't know where else to put it. i'm a every-now-and-then-non-smoker/drinker and vegetarian. which doesn't mean that meat is not a yummy thing and all and i'm not tolerating people who drink/smoke/eat meat. it's just some sort of lifestyle that works very well for me and my 'karma'(in a non-religious/non-weirdo way, if that makes any sense). doesn't keep me from having fun either. (and sometimes, i'm just falling for sushi and leave all those philosophical things behind. call me a hypocrite).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
haven't couchsurfed for a long while but did surf and host a couple of times before. i've decided to reactivate my old account and meet new people!
Interests
art, design, architecture, photography.
travelling of course. stories. seeing beautiful/ugly/strange/common/cool/uncool things. experiencing things. things in general. i don't know really ... everything and nothing.

Music, Movies, and Books
music: i love music - my ipods always with me.
depending on the mood, it changes every week or so - my ears are always open for some new stuff. i'm an addict. on my playlist right now:
talking heads, fleet foxes, beach house, the xx, kasper bjørke, the doors, the knife, efterklang, m83, arthur russell, the smiths, college, john maus, scratch massive, todd terje, daphni, john talabot;
sometimes i also treat myself with bach, beethoven and old 8bit-gameboy soundtracks, some cheesy italo disco or synthpop.
books: dostojewskji, kafka, thomas mann, houellebecq, kerouac, foster wallace, frisch. kawabata and murakami. pratchett and douglas adams are a good read, too. depends on the mood i'd say.
movies: wes anderson, woody allen, jim jarmusch, the obligatory art-house-independent movies; trashy super-hero-block-buster-movies where the baddies get shot and things explode in bright and flashy colours as well as tarantino; lost in translation over all;
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
hitchhiking iceland, definitely. hitchhiking from sweden to italy as well. apart from hitchhiking: flying a paraglider.
