About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To open our home to those who want it opened.
ABOUT ME
My wife and I both before we knew each other backpacked throughout Europe after college. Our love for travel brought us together and we are committed to traveling with our family. We have three kids, Greta-18, Emma-15, and Ben-13. Where we go they go. Hosted Louise from Belgium for a year as an exchange student 2007-2008. We prefer to stay in hostels and camp rather than an expensive hotel. I teach marketing at Viterbo University in La Crosse and my wife is a 4th grade teacher in our town of about 1,300 on the banks of the Mississippi. This part of the state, country, and world is truely God's Country as they say here. We have the summers off as teachers and use that time to travel. Open minded and love to meet any and all walks of life provided those have the same intentions.
PHILOSOPHY
Try and live a purpose driven life as taught to us by our church. (Catholic) Often we fail, but have a sense of peace in our faith and the world community. Feel a need and desire to serve and give back in whatever form that is. Have not figured out that part yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Not sure what to say other than our level of participation would be to open up our house.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
none to this point, hoping to have much as we travel to Europe this summer with our family and try and not get totally bankrupted by the euro to dollar conversion.
Interests
Played college football and rugby. Still play rugby. Have run a marathon and also done the American Birkebeiner. My wife and I love to hike the ridges on the missisippi where we live and mountain bike on the path in our backyard. Enjoy socializing at local pubs and listen to concerts. Love to cook!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Worked on recovery efforts in New Orleans...how sad a people have been so neglected. Being a parent, however is the most amazing job and respondsibility.
