Overview
About Me
I'm an easy-going happy 62 year old acting and feeling like a 42 year old. I am a minimalist, vegetarian, low maintenance and very tidy and organized.
I was born and lived in Tehran, Iran, till age of 17. Then I moved to the USA. Started living a so called life... marriage, 2 kids and divorce by the tender age of 24. After a long, hard and tremendous hardship (raising 2 kids and putting myself through university), I finally saw the light at the end of tunnel. Through it all, I never lost the sense of being happy, positive and my love of traveling. These days, if I am not traveling, I volunteer for different causes; as long as I am outdoors. I can't imagine my life without meditation, yoga, walking and spending time with my family.
I am a solo traveler that packs very light (usually a small backpack). I love to stay in hostels so I can learn and mingle with younger generation of travelers. I believe in getting lost in your traveling as part of the journey. I mostly walk or bike around towns. Every now and then I use public transportation.
Also, I like to taste a beer from every city that I visit but by no means am I a party person. I can tolerate night life here and there. I love to experience cultural aspects of the city and, of course, wondering around seeing landmarks.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mainly, I want to gain many insights as to how people actually live in that city/country, in turn, giving me faith and trust in the good nature of human beings. Traveling has connected me to some wonderful people across the globe. Even though I have been a CS member since 2016, I've never utilized it. This will be my 1st time to be a surfer. As I travel, I want to learn and gain the knowledge of how CS works and hopefully I will be able to host in the near future, sharing this experience with someone else.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch movies much. If I had to pick one, it would be A Beautiful Mind. I love all kinds of music and books, but not novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am so fortunate to do many amazing things in my life. Unforgettably, two nights of sleeping under the Milky Way in the Sahara of Morocco, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2016, cycling almost 400 miles in 5 days in spring of 2017.
