ABOUT ME

I am easy going, but can be fairly opinionated at the same time. I'm happily married :)

Currently, I am employed as a system engineer at a Japanese company. This means that I spend my days sitting in a desk hacking away at abstract problems the whole time. While this is a very nice and enjoyable, I do feel that I want to get out more. A job where I could go outside (or work from home..) and also program would be a dream come true!

I love the country-side. Cities are not my thing. We humans tend to concentrate in a central location, but I suspect that this is not actually what is best for us.

I feel that the collapse of the USSR was a real tragedy. For all of the problems it might have had, it offered a viable alternative to the systems offered by Europe and America.

I currently live in Japan, but I am not to fond of the work culture here, overtime is the norm, and the result is evident in the amount of dysfunctional marriages in Japan. Other than that, I really do like Japan. If you are interested I can take you to many places in Japan.

PHILOSOPHY

For the most part I just want simple happiness; children and sufficient income to now have to worry about old-age.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly interested in traveling to Russia. Hosting is a bit difficult at this stage. I am also interested in language exchange (Russian/English) if possible.
