About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people, learn stuff, enjoy life.
ABOUT ME
Random is probably the best word to describe me. I grew up in Texas, went to college in Louisiana, grad school in Ohio, and now live in Chicago.
In my opinion, there are very few right and wrong things in the world. We all have our own opinions and views, and I'm happy to hear yours and share my own as long as you don't tell me I'm wrong.
I'm currently doing improv around Chicago and hoping to start a film production company soon. I want to be a producer. For reals. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Do what makes you happy. As long as you're not hurting someone else, don't worry about what they think.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love Chicago and have worked as a tour guide, so I'm happy to tell you some history. I can't offer much in terms of cool stuff to do downtown because I think it's really touristy. Think outside the loop. :)
I'm happy to meet with people and recommend good shows but I live in a studio apartment a ways north of downtown (still well within the city, and in a really cute neighborhood), so hosting is hit or miss.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with Annie in Edinburgh for Hogmanay '08. She was kind enough to host myself and my friend Jessie. I also had a friend from high school who is on here visit with someone she met here.
Interests
Comedy, music, movies, TV, books, travel, boxing, laughing, talking, meeting new people, food, baking, lots of stuff. I'm not a big art buff, and tend to get bored quickly at art museums, classical music concerts (yes, I'm a classical musician), or other "sophisticated" things like that. I love to learn, but in more active/involved ways.

Music, Movies, and Books
Kissing Jessica Stein, Little Miss Sunshine, indies and foreign films, Dave's True Story, I like just about everything. Inglorious Basterds was insanely good, but I had to look away a lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the Gypsy Kings at the Chicago Theater. My friend and I got free tickets and cash, which paid for a nice dinner before and drinks all night. Amazing. Really. We were in the 5th row.
