About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I start med school in a year and want to gain as much life experience as possible. What better way to do that than to travel.
ABOUT ME
I just graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Health Science degree. I am going to med school at Western University in Pomona, CA in the Fall of 2011 and I can't wait. I'm incredibly excited to have a year off between undergrad and med school. Besides working and saving up for the BIG MOVE, I've already set some goals for this next year.
1) I am going to learn how to play the drums.
2) I am going to take some art classes at the local community college since I couldn't take them at UF.
3) I am going to travel as much as possible and learn about as many cultures as possible.
4) I am thinking about trying to teach myself a new language...any suggestions?
PHILOSOPHY
I am starting medical school in a year. I am going to become a D.O. They have a higher focus on the holistic approach to medicine and work on healing the body, mind, and soul. Right now I'm incredibly interested in osteopathic manipulative medicine. I want to work in under-served communities whether I work in an inner city or a rural area...I have no idea. I just know the health care system in the U.S. needs to change and reach more people and I want to be a part of that change.
