About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life before my legal traineeship starts in November.

ABOUT ME

I'm 27 years old and have recently graduaded from Trinity College Dublin. Before that, I have studied in Mainz, Germany.
I was travelling a lot in Ireland during my masters there. My upcoming trip is a 7 week stay in South Africa before my legal trainneship starts in Mainz this November.

I get along with all sorts of people very well. I like to laugh and to spend time with interesting people. As most people in the project, Im straighforward and communicative. Plus, I'm a vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

Those who try can fail, but those who don't have already failed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my previous trips, staying with locals has always proven to be the best choice to really get to know a place. It is amazing that through CouchSurfing, you can meet people from all walks of life, and you can learn something from all of them. I've also stayed in touch with some of my previous hosts and they have visited me back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spend two and a half months abroad after I graduated from school. I was staying with really nice people in Los Angeles, USA; Auckland (two times), Wellington and Turangi in New Zealand; and in Hong Kong, China. Thanks a lot for the great time and experience to all my hosts!

I have hosted students from the USA, Croatia, Japan and Brasil before. But these stays were organized by schools or friends, not by CouchSurfing(I didn't know about the project back then).
Former CouchSurfing hosts from Auckland and Hong Kong have visited me in Germany in the past years.

Interests

I do quite a bit of sports, at the moment mostly running, cycling and fitness. I also enjoy to go for a hike.

I am interested in politics and I follow the news quite closely. If I have time, I also like to read books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've run h half-marathon. Actually I did two of them, but still it's only half-amazing.. ;-) I intend to do the full marathon in Frankfurt next year :)

Teach, Learn, Share

While travelling, my focus is on learning. I love to learn about the places, countries and people that I am vistiting.

Of course sharing is also important, sharing a place to begin with. I would loke to share stories, travelling experiences, local knowledge, food, jokes.

I'm happy to teach about everything I know about and you are intersted in ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking, so I could prepare a meal for us. But as I'm vegetarian, there aren't many traditionally German dishes I could also enjoy ;-)
