About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Once Upon a Time is really Here and Now. I embrace dreams coming true and impossible things happening every day.
ABOUT ME
I guess most of them would say that I am kind, reliable and a little crazy - but in a good way, so it never gets boring :) I don't really like writing about myself too much, however, so it's best that you just read what people who have met me have written.
PHILOSOPHY
Why do you live your life?I have been wondering about this question for quite some time and now I have an answer that works for me.We are all connected and together we have the power and responsibility to create a world/society we deem worth living in. For me that means a society based on love and sharing as opposed to greed which dominates nowadays. If we want these qualities to truly live it is our responsibility to set an example. So why do we live? To create a beautiful world. As Angi Sullins(my favourite storyteller) nicely put it:"We of the TGNT (too good & true) know no limits except the ones we impose upon ourselves. We stand at the gates of the millennium, part wild revel yell, part contemplative sigh. Part razzle dazzle, part dusty blue jeans. Part topsy turvy carnival, part soulful simplicity. We are each a living menagerie, drawn to each other in these challenging times to create our heaven while grounded on earth, playing the music of our lives to the chords of Truth, Beauty, Freedom, but above all, Love. With a REVEL yell, we cry MORE MORE MORE!!!Always settle for more,Angi"

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
I love books from a-z. I am very interested in history and upon my shelf one can find titles like: Spice, the History of Temptation, Salt, a World History, The Potato: How the Humble Spud Rescued the Western World, Sweets, the History of Temptation (once again and who could have guessed?),Banana: The Fate of the Fruit That Changed the World by Dan Koeppel (did you know that in the most ancient translations of the Bible, the 'apple' consumed by Eve in the Garden of Eden is actually the banana? :)), which clearly show my fascination with food and its origin, History of Women and other books concerning gender issues, Victoria Finlay also wrote two wonderful books - one about jewels and another about colours.
I have been fascinated by mythology since I was around eight, so of course I have books about Egyptian, Norse and Greek myths among others (Native American,..). I love everything by Joseph Campbell (The Hero with a Thousand Faces probably changed my perception of life in many ways, The Power of Myth, Myths to Live By).
I really like history, especially of completely unassuming objects, but it does not end here. My favourite poet is Sylvia Plath, with Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson and Anne Sexton following. I read a lot of science fiction (for example books from SF Masterworks) and fantasy (George R.R. Martin - A Song of Ice and Fire is my absolute favourite). Of classical authors two of my favourite are Leo Tolstoy (Anna Karenina, A Confession) and Fyodor Dostoyevsky (Crime and Punishment).
I also have and use a lot of cookbooks (from traditional Slovenian to Japanese Cuisine) and of course books about travels.
Movies:
I most enjoy science fiction or fantasy: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Donnie Darko to name but a few, but I also like historical movies like Juana la Loca, Blood Countess (that makes my fascination with eccentric female characters rather obvious, huh?), Sylvia, La Vie en Rose, etc.
Music:
Mostly rock - I listen to bands like REM, U2, Joy Division (Love will tear us apart is my number one song), Queen, The Last Shadow Puppets, Coldplay,..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll tell you that in person :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to share a thought:
"Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like
you've never been hurt and live like it's heaven on Earth."
— Mark Twain
What can I teach you: I can teach you how to prepare some traditional Slovenian sweets.
I want to learn as much as possible from you.
