I'm a curious and open minded person who fell in love with the wounds and wonders of this planet. I need change and movement, space and freedom, the discomfort of traveling on my own is worth more than the security of a home. I'm a nomad at heart.

PHILOSOPHY

standing still means death. And I will be death early enough, so let's move as long as possible.
I haven't found my place in life yet, but I hope to find it somewhere out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't want to see this plattform as an abbility to save money on accomondation, but more like an opportunity to exchange culture and spend a good time together. Also It's he best way to get in touch with locals and get them known.

Interests

Besides travelling I'm interessted in literature, photography and music. I'm very passionated about outdoors and don't believe in bad weather. I spend my free days in the mountains, hiking, biking, mountaineering and enjoying nature.
Spending some quality time with friends in bars or cafés, eating well, enjoying some good live music - all things that count the same like the joys of nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reports and stories about travelling and history are my favorite lecture, espacially about africa or the middle east. My most read authors are Andreas Altmann, Helge Timmerberg and Michael Obert, they use a beautiful language and live beautiful philosophies.
I listen to a lot kinds of music, but I prefer rock and metal in all kinds. Bands like Pearl Jam, rage against the machine, tool or staind always occupy my playlist.
I'm not a big cinneast, have seen to many bad movies. Most mainstream movies are either stupid or boring, but there are definetly some jewels out there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I remember the adrenaline rush after climbing up a 60 meters high brown coal excavator in a bloody cold february night without even gloves. In this night I learned to deal with my acrophobia and now really enjoy climbing.
I have seen a bunch of wild monkeys in the morrocan atlas mountains- there are only few left and it's been great luck.
I got robbed in Berlin a few years ago. I'm a little bit proud about how calm and awake i have stayed with a knive pointed at my kidney.
My biggest challenge so far: i got married

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the basics of rock climbing, travelling by bike or on your own feet, how to do this lightweight and independent. I can show you beautiful destinations and how to get there.
Sometimes I see my self in the future as a writer and reporter. Anybody who could help me to improve my language, my photographic skills, and (most important) all my senses that help me to soak in the world around, is welcome!
