About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be a better person and useful to people and to the planet!!!

ABOUT ME

I am shy, but very friendly. I'm honest and love being with people, but I appreciate sometime alone as well...

I am a country girl. It`s true, I`ve tried to hide this for a long time, but now I say it out loud. :-)) But big cities amazes me and love to visit them. I didn`t travel as much as wished when I was a child, so now I taking some time to fix this issue.

Since march 2009 I left my hometown (Belem) and stayed with my sister in Sao Paulo. I lived there until august when I was preparing myself to travel to Saint Vincent and the Grenedines to stay for six months to participate in a training to come to work as a volunteer in Africa. So after 29 years, I left Brazil for the first time OMG!!!
Six months in the Caribbean were, well, I already said: caribbean!! Amazing, lovely moments, sunsets, sea, waterfalls... Do I need to tell more? Well maybe when we meet each other...

Then I went to Mozambique, even better, to Inhambane, a small town next to Tofo (if you google this four letters word you will know what I`m talking about), that surprised me everyday for the kind locals and the wonders of its landscapes...

I'm still travelling until august, so I can't host anyone. But I'm looking forward to!! :-))

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Laugh at yourself is the best way of being a better person.

"É melhor vencermos a nós mesmos, do que ao mundo". Sartre

"Mas eu desconfio que a única pessoa livre, realmente livre, é a que não tem medo do ridículo". Luis F. Veríssimo

"É o mesmo sol que derrete a cera e seca a argila". Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm feeling more and more envolved since I registered myself, having a feeling that the world can be a big family =))) I didn't surf or host yet, but I can't wait to finally do it!
Unfortunately because I'm travelling and my apartament is rented out, I can`t offer a couch right now. But as soon as I get back, this will definetly change!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Close to zero. Just a roommate hosted someone in our house once in Inhambane. And I've been reading the entire site!!

Interests

I love to read and write. Travel, work close to people always. Hiking, snorkelling, diving. Poetry and music. Fell in love with scuba diving in Mozambique.

When I travel I love to talk to locals and know the history, what they eat, their everyday lives, their beliefs...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Always having new and amazing suprises...
But ok:
One day in Saint Vincent I was coming back from an orphanage and this visit brought me so down that I had trouble to speak... When I was on the way home I saw this gorgeous sunset on the caribbean sea, I had tears in my eyes... for some reason my attention went to the opposite side of the sunset and then I saw the big and yellow full moon rising at the horizon. So I smilled with bliss for the oportunity to watch a sunset on the sea and full moon rising at the same time on the valley!
