About Me

Big Hello, everyone!

Let me introduce myself - I ended up living under the name Erika . If you want to imagine what I am like - I am something what could be described as a non-stable, constantly changing and fun supporting bunch of infinite energy and I can't stand hot weather, I need to live in constant winter and cold.
Also, most probably I am the contrary of myself or something else, impossible to understand, like that. I come from a super-mixed environment, and I like to think how my destiny was predicted to be unpredictable.
There is only one thing I am super excited about - the world =D What's so exciting about it? It consists of sub-things, which are free to discover, and the main point - there are so many unknown parts of world for each and every single individual human being!
In human language and maybe a bit more briefly, how exciting is it that there will always be people I don't know and can get to know, places I've never been to and can go to, things I've never known exist, and I can touch them one day?!
I mean, wow, man!

And let's get to the boring part, the one adults tend to write. Oh yes, I've become adult, too.
While I was child and teenager, I was super keen on learning languages and it was super suspicious how fast I could do it. I learned French, started German, obviously had done English, Slavic languages, a bit of Hungarian and recently I've started Gaelic, just because it's beautiful. Oh and when I move my arms and legs, I can communicate with anyone, speaking absolutely anything. I recommend the last option, very multi cultural thing.
After all the crap you can imagine, I got super bored after a week on a uni...
so I packed my suitcase, and told my mum I'm leaving somewhere next week. Yes, I had a boyfriend, roof over my head and only 500 euros saved from part time student jobs, but.. you know, adventure and freedom.

And I left to England, all alone. At this point of my life I've realized how much I love being alone, and on the contrary, how much I love meeting new people daily. The freedom it gave me, I will never be able to explain .
You know money is attractive, and that's why everyone imagine London or southern England once moving abroad. This was the main reason why I moved to the North of England, as far from all foreigners moving to UK as possible. I don't care very much about material things, so I was just home sitting and baby sitting, and basically not spending money anyway. Oh and not to forget - every single free moment, I spent travelling all around England (at the moment, I'd say I fully explored all northern and maybe middle England parts). Oh that was sweet solitude of mine. Completely free.
And what I found mega super exciting after half of the year of living there, was that just couple of hours away, there is Scotland.

I relocated to Scotland. Indeed, super exciting stuff.

Well once we meet, you're going to find out much much more about me, if you let me talk once. For me, it's uneasy to let awkward silence step into conversations, so I tend to talk.

Well if all this seems like too much for you, don't be scared and you will see I am just a human being too. Most people even seem to enjoy my presence =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to travel as much as possible and I have to say I love couch surfing because every couch surfer (and his/her friends) is a potential best friend!
I've always loved helping people to get lots of information (as I talk a lot!) about places I know, sometimes I end up doing free tours around Glasgow, showing hidden treasures! I love meeting people on coffee or recently I've discovered bubble tea bar! And if the weather isn't too disgusting up here in Scotland for my couch surfers, I think walking around and talking is the best.
I've also hosted nice bunch of people already, and plan to do it again as it's an enjoyable experience.

Interests

I don't believe there is anything I'm not interested in. If I look bored, that means I understood enough of the topic and need a new one, simple as that.

Music, Movies, and Books

If there is any spare time in my life, I do listen to music, watch a movie or read a book. I absolutely love all forms of art, going to galleries yummy yum!
Most times I prefer to go to library and just browse through books, cause it takes too long to only sit and read. And by reading only parts, I feel like I've read a lot! Same online, I guess, haha. I'm sorry but the time of my life is too precious to sit like that.
Music is everywhere, there is no moment I wouldn't have a song on my mind, if not in my ears. I enjoy lots of different genres and artists.
Let's talk about movies once we're together!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the most strange places thanks to the geo caching activity (yes I like climbing on huge rusty forbidden things and also I love going underground where I shouldn't rather step).
One of best things was also moving to Scotland and joining sites like couch surfing.
Oh and I was born!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I can probably teach you how quickly you can run out of energy if you choose me to show you around in Glasgow! Or maybe anywhere else, even where I've never been. Let's go hiking!
And what else?
I can take you to Ceilidh Scottish traditional dance - yes, people in Scotland still meet, have a beer and dance a collective traditional dance straight away in the bar. Awesome.
Oh and we can exchange couple of words in different languages.
And I've got a guitar I can't play, too :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Experience, culture exchange, languages, stories!
I can help with what is it like to live in UK (I mean pure enjoying yourself, not that kind of living like factory work and back to homeland) and why Scotland is so much better than any other UK part (well I'm still planning to explore Wales so I exclude it for now in this sentence).
I normally share everything, food, beds, flat, buses, seats in buses =D I mean sharing on Facebook is cool, too! Let's share.
