ABOUT ME

I have 3 grown children and I am divorced. I was a champion cross country ski racer and runner when I was younger. I only ski occasionally for fun now. Most of my fun is playing guitar and singing in my band. But in the summers in Alaska I like to explore all the rivers. My friend and I have a 20 foot riverboat which we love to use to go way up any river we haven't see yet. I work a lot on properties that I own. Fixing them up and renting or selling them is how I make my living mostly.
I want to travel in the winters to warm places I haven't been for a few years.

PHILOSOPHY

I am spiritual but not religious. I feel that we are creating our own lives. I feel that this whole world is god. That everything in the present moment is god. That it is just fine the way it is. Your vibrational level inside is what you are putting out to the universe and this has a great effect on it all. I strive to raise my vibrational level all the time. I meditate, I read, I do yoga, I take classes... Just recently completed an Avatar course it was great.

Other than making a $ donation...I haven't participated at all yet.
But I am open to it later.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no formal experience with CS, but I've been to Fiji, Austrailia, Hawaii, Slovakia, Hungary, Ireland, England, New Zealand, Italy, Austria, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela and all over the United States.
In some of those locations I was staying with friends.

Interests

Making music. Riding bikes, snowmobiles, motorcycles. Travel. Skiing. Working on and fixing up houses and real estate. I especially like small cottages. I love it in the woods and wilderness. I very much love running the rivers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the blues, jazz, and classic rock, but new stuff is good too. Not so much of a rap, hip hop or country guy. Classical is good for easy listening. Books I mostly read self help and philosophy type stuff. Almost exclusively non fiction. I love movies and that is where I get my fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Like I said...being in the Olympics in Innsbruck in 1976 was cool.
Some of the mountains I've climbed like Tutico in New Zealand were amazing and exciting adventures. I've sailed From Alaska to California. But I'm not much of a sailor.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about music I can share. I know a lot about rivers, building construction, road construction, hunting, fishing, canoeing, Alaska, surviving in the wilderness, cross country skiing (I was in the Olympics in 1976 and have been a coach and teacher). I really like kids and am a great teacher to them.
I'm interested in other cultures and languages.
