I was born in Santiago, Chile and I'll always be an empanada-loving Chilena at heart. When I was six, my family moved to the US where we remained and where I'm completing my final year of study at the University of Kansas.
I'm studying film(my passion), PR and Business. I consider myself a huge cinephile and avoid television with some exceptions, including Game of Thrones, Westworld, Outlander, and Stranger Things.
I'm a live music addict! Some of my favorite genres are indie rock, bossa nova, jazz, some electronic music, and indie pop, and my favorite band is Everything Everything.
Within the past year, I finally got to experience traveling freely, solo and on my own terms. I explored a little of Europe through study abroad and backpacking then I backpacked Thailand for a month in the summer. The travel bug bites hard, and I find myself constantly looking forward to the next trip.
Though I'm not the prodigious reader I was as a kid, I still love to get lost in the pages of a book. I enjoy drawing, particularly with ink, though sadly my sketches are mostly doodles on takeout boxes and in the margins of my lecture notes nowadays.
Food-wise, I'll eat anything except for green beans.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite word is adventure. My desire to explore the world and meet people that impact my perception of it is one of my primary drives. I'm eager to experience cultures and countries foreign to me, but hope to attain more than a cursory exploration of every place I visit. I love the idea of seeing new places through the eyes of those who call it home.
