I was born in Sydney and completed my schooling there, and then felt I wanted to 'go out west' and work in a remote town in outback Australia at the pub. I enjoyed meeting all the people that came through the door, sharing experiences and strangely running into people I know through crazy connections .
I've spent the last four years in Mount Isa, Queensland with my job - going out to cattle stations (rediculously huge farms) and doing educational play with early childhood in the form of playgroups on their station. So many hours spent in the car travelling, staying at people's houses that we don't know and educating their children- I love seeing how each family has different routines and ways of living in these remote parts of Australia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be a part of couch surfing to meet new people and hear their fascinating stories and how they live their lives through their experiences

Interests

I compete in Irish Dancing at home (against all the little kids as unfortunately I happen to be the oldest who does it in my town)
I play soccer (or football for some) and have done so for seven years.
My job has taken me across outback Australia which I love!

Lived in a town with a population of 60 when I was just 19 years of age . Taught me so much about myself - cliche or not :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have travelled in most of the corners of Australia- I feel like I can tell you that yes, we have kangaroos in our backyard and yes it is 45 degrees Celsius in summer. Happy to share my stories and experiences with you
