Hi there! My name is Belinda. Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, but have been living in San Diego and Spain these last 6 years - recently returned to the city :).

I am currently a Product Designer at Adopt a Pet, and before that, I was actually designing for the one and only... Couchsurfing!!! In my past life, I was a scientist and conducted research in the neurobiological mechanisms behind binge eating.

I've traveled to many parts of the world and have spent some time living in Europe - a summer studying visual arts at Lorenzo de' Medici Institute in Florence, Italy, and a year teaching English at a primary school in Cordoba, Spain.

Some of my very best travel memories have been because of the people I met on Couchsurfing. These experiences have allowed me to get to know different cities and locals in a more intimate level, and to share my culture and learn about other cultures, which has been an amazing experience. I've loved the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world and to see many different perspectives, and would love to continue doing so in the different cities I travel to! :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Spent a day trekking up a mountain and through the forests of Chiang Mai, Thailand, passing villages, and came back down through a river on a bamboo raft.

Hiked a part of the Camino de Santiago (coastal route), which was one of the most beautiful scenic routes I have been on. So much respect for people who have done the entire route -- I barely survived 2 days of it lol!

I love to take pictures, paint watercolor, cook...but I have a lot more to learn! I am always looking to pick up a fun hobby -- currently trying to learn how to unicycle :)
