about to embark on my next scientific journey - the PhD

ABOUT ME

I am a 24 year old Perth girl, happy to be home after 3 months in Europe (I know it's not that much, but I get homesick!).

I am a scientist through and through - always wondering how things work or why things happen. I am interested in most areas of science, but have trouble getting my head around things like quantum physics. My scientific interests include ecology, genetics and evolution, animal conciousness and cognition, among other things. I firmly believe we don't give OTHER animals the credit they deserve, when it comes to "intelligence". Yes, humans are animals too, and don't forget it!

I play guitar and want to learn the violin. I love animals, especially birds (and my dog Bella, of course!)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the next few years I will be settled in Perth, so hopefully my participation will be in helping visitors and travellers experience what Perth (and surrounds) has to offer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

couchsurfed for 3 nights in Alcublas, Spain, with my friend and fellow couchsurfer Tim. We had a great time. I have met up with a few couchsurfers in Perth, for a drink and a chat, and hope to meet more in the future!
