ABOUT ME

My Visited Countries: Way too many

I'm a West Coast kid who is getting used to life here in Richmond after moving here in July from Austin, TX. I I was introduced to CS when I lived in Heidelberg, Germany from 2009-2012. I had a great time participating in CS events over there and would like to continue the same here. I consider myself friendly, laid back, intelligent, and fairly open minded. I enjoy just about any kind of activity, large or small, whether it be a vacation or simply playing a game of pool at the local pub. I'm easily amused, and I have a penchant for adventure, friendly debates and discussions of almost all stripes.

PHILOSOPHY

Anytime I get to learn something new is a good day for me. But here it is, folks: pull the trigger, go for broke and don't look back!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved here so I would like to join local groups to meet people and explore the area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted several surfers, a couple of parties and attended some events. Looking forward to more.

Interests

I enjoy traveling, meeting new and interesting people, hiking / backpacking (sometimes yuppy camping), playing bass guitar, cooking (to varying degrees of success), music, reading, politics, history, and watching old TV shows you've never heard of.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies/books: thrillers, mysteries, and dramas.

Music: mostly classic rock/metal, but also jazz, classical, blues, and I have a weak spot for 80s pop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Marched/played trombone in front of roughly one million people during the January 2000 Rose Parade in Pasedena, CA. Definitely an experience I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: cooking, travel ideas, and the best places to visit in Richmond.
