Teach belly dancing online and figure out how to make a little money doing it ... plus, do a PhD

ABOUT ME

I love belly dancing and have been doing it for 20 years. 10 years ago I danced professionally in Sydney, but now I am enjoying my retirement very much. It means I get to dance because I love it - and if I perform in public it's because I want to and know that the audience appreciates what I can do. Fabulous! Much more interested now in understanding proprioception related to belly dance.

My day job is as academic developer (a teacher of lecturers in a university). I help people mostly with applying for teaching grants and teaching awards.

I have no children and 2 ex-husbands and now happily live by myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live an evidence based life, which means doing activities that evidence show are healthy and good for you. I'm not doing too well on eating healthy foods because I'm totally addicted to chocolate. In Cairo in 2007 I spent a whole day during Ramadan walking around looking for a chocolate shop.

I just joined late November so all I've done so far is fill in my profile. I'd love to have some people come stay with me. I like a good conversation and would enjoy learning about education in your country.

Visit to the White Desert in Egypt (near Baharriya oasis). So beautiful, and the tour guides were so keen to get the young pretty belly dancers in the sack - unsuccessfully.

Formally, I'm about to participate in a project that is about pairing universities in different countries that offer education degrees and want their students to learn about educational values from other cultures.
