About Me

ABOUT ME

If you see only one town in Spain it should be GRANADA (Spain The Rough Guide, attribuited to Hemingway)

Summer in Granada. Ice cream in Los Italianos, dolce far niente in any mirador in Albaicín and Sacromonte.

To visit the city, I suggest you purchase the Granada Card (Bono Turístico). It includes tickets of the main monuments of the city, including the Alhambra, and some rides in local buses. Further information in web page www.granadatur.com.

If you only want to visit the Alhambra, I recommend you to book your tickets in advance by phone at 902 888 001 (from Spain) or +34 958 926 031 (from abroad), by Internet at www.alhambra-tickets.es, or in the cash machines of Servicaixa located almost anywhere in Spain.

WHAT TO DO IF THERE ARE NO TICKETS TO VISIT THE ALHAMBRA

There are different options:

1. Buy the Granada Card
This card includes the ticket to visit the Alhambra, and 6 other monuments of the city as well as journeys by public transport. If all the monuments and were paid individually, the price would be a 30% higher.

2. Be an early bird the day you want to visit the monument
On the same day, there are some tickets to be sold in the ticket office of the Alhambra.
It must be taken in account that there is no guarantee that there would be tickets available, because they can be sold out throught the other selling points.

3. Guided visits: They cost around 50€ per person. There are many differents companys offering this service. You can find them online or maybe your hotel offer this service as well.
Some of those companies are: Granavisión, Cicerone ... and online www.granavision.com www.ciceronegranada.com

Teach, Learn, Share

Spanish music is not flamenco. Try La chica de ayer by Antonio Vega, Para no olvidar by Los Rodríguez. And if you still want to listen flamenco: Camarón is god, although not traditional I love his "La leyenda del tiempo". More: Carmen Linares, Arcángel, Miguel Poveda, Lole y Manuel, Enrique Morente,...
¿Sé puede ser más granaíno? Zambra, Estrella y Enrique Morente, padre e hija.
