Overview
About Me
The details of my life are quite inconsequential. Very well, where do I begin? I was born on April 5, 1987. Birth stone: diamond (yeah, I like to brag about that.) 7 years later on this date Kurt Cobain put a gun in his mouth. Morbid, huh? I don't remember exactly what I was doing when I turned 7 but it could have been any of the following: 1) climbing to the top of the 4-story beech tree behind my house; 2) digging in dirt looking for for dinosaur bones with other kids in the neighborhood; 3) playing street hockey and skinning my knee on the pavement; 4) setting booby traps in the woods; 5) fishing with worms in Beaver Pond behind the variety store.
Fast forward 20 years, I'm trying to figure out how to be as cool as I was as a 7 year old all over again, except as an adult.
My life is a perpetual existential crisis. I'm forever caught between the desire for foundation and stability and the desire to keep life interesting and not settle down.
I live my life based on a philosophy of open-mindedness and always seeking out new experiences. I thrive on the weird, the creative, the local, the unique, etc. I consider myself a world citizen. I might be a little selfish but I believe in the individual and the independent spirit. I have an insatiable hunger for knowledge and consider myself fortunate to live at a time when accessing the collective knowledge of the world has never been so effortless.
Earth is my church. I like to spend as much time in the natural environment to rejuvenate my spirit.
One of my life dreams is to design and build my own house. Another one is to own my own small airplane.
If I ever had the chance to go to space, or, better yet, the moon, I would take it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to meet and make friends with people from around the world. It's the next best thing to actually traveling!
I've hosted, and been hosted. I've been a proud member of the CS community since 2008 and I've done it all. (I even worked for CS for a brief period). I first started surfing when I was studying abroad in Europe and was hooked from then on.
These days, I use CS to make friends on my travels.
