About Me

I am from Hawaii and have been living on the East Coast for about six months. I love to travel and love to show people around Hawaii when I am there. I have been through quite a bit of Asia in my travels and have recently been to South America. I can speak some Korean and Filipino, but after visiting Colombia and Ecuador, I have been trying to learn Spanish. I am almost 33 and currently trying to decide where to live next. I have worked as a waiter, as a teacher, and have done some totally random jobs in between.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and connect with people. I Love to show people around Hawaii (or wherever I am living). Right now I'm looking for couches to surf while I search for a potential new city to live in. As soon as I get situated, I will be more than happy to host!

Interests

I love the beach, cooking, travel, good films, live reggae, hunting, other languages (currently trying to learn spanish), and I am an occasional reader....and I'm sure there are other things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reggae and 90's hip hop the most, but I like a little of everything; I can get down with anything from Ray Charles to Outkast to Led Zeppelin and a lot of others in between. I love crime films and I seem to gravitate towards pretty random books. The last book I read was called Barefoot Dogs. Really enjoyed it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked to Batad in the Philippines. It was one of the most amazing places that I've been to in my travels. The village was only accessible by foot and was a good half day hike to get there. There were rice terraces carved into the mountains that have been functioning continuously for like 2000 years. It was visually stunning and tranquil in the most absolute sense of the term.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook some Korean food or say cool, random Hawaiian words. I hope you can help me to learn better Spanish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will cook you dinner or buy you dinner....or breakfast or whatever. I hope to share conversation and laughs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
