Overview
About Me
I am recent graduate from College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. I am ex-military. I plan to travel as much as I can and do ceramic residencies around the world before i go for my masters degree in therapy and counseling. I want to go anywhere I can but my heart is set on visiting or living in Europe for at least a while. Hoping to learn new languages and become a better potter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about this idea when my brother visited Europe with a friend a few years back and stayed at some hostels and couch surfed a bit. I loved the idea and have just been waiting for the doors to open for me to do some traveling of my own!
Interests
I love being outdoors, but mostly I longboard, ride horses, hike, swim.... anything outdoors and athletic. I can be a huge nerd when I want to be. I love reading and watching fiction. As I mentioned earlier I am an aspiring potter/sculptor. I love playing raquetball and tennis. I have spent 10 years contra and square dancing and I help instruct a swing dance class. I like learning and teaching footwork, but I really enjoy doing lifts and aerials.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am an avid Netflix watcher, I will watch just about anything once. My favorite movies would be anything in the scifi genre along the lines of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, marvel, and the like. I also enjoy musicals, I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy the occasional Disney movie.
As for books, as long it's a form of a novel I will read it. Again, I lean towards the scifi/fantasy genre.
I will literally listen to any music, but I try to avoid screaming. If I'm the one turning on the music it ill be one of three categories. First it will be Celtic Woman, Sissel, and Enya type music; then it will be Mumford and Sons, Passenger, and Imagine Dragons stuff; and finally along the lines of Fall Out Boy and panic at the disco.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once snuck into the Alamo in San Antonio on my 21st birthday, I have free-run downtown San Antonio as well. I have been to Japan and Mexico once each. To be honest I feel like I am just now getting to the stage of my life where I can really go out and make great memories!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach, but I dont consider myself a master at anything yet. I can teach you what I know about cooking, ceramics, dancing, and longboarding!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have experience in maintenance and as a handy-man so if you need something fixed or painted while I stay I'd be up for that.
