About Me

Hello everyone!
I am officially using couchsurfing for the first time!
I am living here in Hokkaido at the moment, working and skiing in the beautiful powder!
I am from Scotland and have been travelling for afew years since i finished my studies. Iv been all over Canada and the USA, Europe and now I start to see this beautiful place Japan. After this trip I will be heading over to Norway!
I am currently finishing my work in Hokkaido, and then will fly to Osaka, where I will buy a bicycleand camping equipment and I will cycle back to Sapporo where I will fly back to Scotland. In total this cycle will be for all of April.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im using couchsurfing to try and find some places to sleep and meet some local people whilst on my journey. I am mostly going to be camping and cycling and generally just enjoying the sights I see on my bike but I think it would be a wonderful addition to my trip to share my experiences and have some local guides/knowledge to advise me and tell me the good spots!
It would also be nice for me to have an indoor sleep every now and then, with possibility to charge camera batteries and ipod, share some meals, some stories and experiences.

Interests

My interest are all over the place!
In recent years I have found myself drawn to nature and being outdoors. I am very active and adventurous. For example Ski touring/ Mountain Climbing/ Cycle touring/ Camping etc, and I also love to try new things!
I am interested in this trip to experience some culture but mostly as I have to travel far I think I will be enjoying the country side and great views more often.
I also can enjoy city living, I often live in big cities to work and study, living in the city I enjoy live music very much, with the occasional restaurants and beers!
I am generally interested in most things, and im open to try new things to try and see the world through eyes other than my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is very diverse, depending on my mood I can enjoy rock music, classical music, dance music almost anything which is done well I have time for. I can say I dont often enjoy ganster rap or hardcore music!
I try my best to read and watch movies, but honestly I usually end up drifting into my own dreams!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Built a Tiny house on wheels and drove it through the USA and Canada and lived in it for 6 months.
For me this was pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Please Teach, Please Learn, Love to Share!

I really hope we can all start living in a sustainable way, communicate with each other effectively, stop destroying our forests and ecosystems. Learn to love each other and ourselves. Trying not to focus on money and assets and more on personel development and taking care of our environment!
Peace and Love!

I try not to preach too much as I know this is not a suitable way of teaching people, but rather I hope that by example people will follow, as I do.

I am however very interested to discuss small scale to large scale social/global/environmental concepts and ideas.

I am constantly inspired by my teachers im sure this trip will provide many lessons!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share whatever I have, which on a cycle tour may not be much other than some stories, some food, some time or some music! :)
