About Me
Hello there.
I'm Ben, I'm from London, and I'm new to Couchsurfing. I'm also fairly new to travelling. I had my first trip out of Europe last year, when I went to Japan, Thailand and India. It was amazing and I will undoubtedly return. I thought the idea of couchsurfing sounded cool and I'm really keen to get some insight into the day to day of those I encounter on my travels. I also like to the idea of being able to meet new people to hang out with.
I'm interested in a big range of things and will usually be able to find something in common with the people I meet. I am currently studying Medicine in London, and I also have a degree in International Relations and History.
I have a variety of eccentric hobbies. I'm very keen on anything musical - be it listening to or writing music. I'm especially into electronic music! I also 'play' the guitar.
As well as music, I'm also a keen reader. I love a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction. Some favourites include Last Exit to Brooklyn, The Outsider, Siddartha, The Master and Margarita.
I also love Brasilian Jiu Jitsu, which I have been doing for a few years now.
I also enjoy doing the usual things such as socialising, going out to eat etc. I'm very keen to improve my language skills, which aren't very good at the moment (I neglected them at school). I'd love to learn Spanish and German!
I currently live in London and, should those I meet on my travels need a place to stay in theirs, they are welcome to stay at my home.
