About Me

Truth seeker. I am a student of philosophy and religion but I believe that every man and woman has their own personal truth. I think that in this way, every person you meet has something to teach you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to meet laid back and open minded people while backpacking across the world. I also would really like to get more experience and learn more about outdoor survival techniques from people who have more experience.

The world is a mirror. I have found genuine conversation with others to a point where you can begin to truly understand them and where they're coming from invariably leads one to a higher understanding of oneself as well. And that's my goal!

Interests

Nature, philosophy, energy dynamics, sacred geometry, learning/teaching, ancient religions and ancient civilizations, backpacking, camping, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, soccer (pretty much any outdoor activities or sports) astronomy, quantum and astrophysics, politics. Pretty much anything. Anything besides what the Kardasians are up to. 🌅🌌🏈👽💭🔺🌎

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Bob Marley, Matisyahu, Nahko Bear and the Medicine for the People, the Beatles, Milky Chance, Xavier Rudd, Trever Hall, Slightly Stooped, Rebelution, Soja. But really I like any good music! And I love hearing new tunes

Books: The Alchemist, The Law of One, The Celestine Prophecy, Speaker for the Dead, The Foundation Trilogy, Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, 1984, Cloud Atlas, Dune, Out of the Silent Planet, The Road Less Traveled, The Urantia Book

Movies: My favorite films are those that do well to capture an aspect of reality or of human nature in a unique kind of way. In a way that shows you something you hadn't seen or thought about before. I guess it's the same with my favorite types of music and books. Anything that makes you think in new ways, or that makes you feel like something you remember feeling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch hiked from Denver, CO to San Francisco, CA

Teach, Learn, Share

My goal is to learn something new from - and teach something new to - every person I have the privilege to meet along my travels!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honestly, just some good, down to earth, genuine company and conversation... Now that I've said it, it doesn't seem like much. Haha But honestly, I think that we, especially my generation, are often somewhat lacking in genuine relationship and productive conversation. I believe these two things to be two of the most beneficial tools on any journey of spiritual growth. I also believe that spiritual growth (genuine positive development through exploration and experience) is one of if not our sole purpose here on this planet. The good thing about this theory is thay, as far as I can see it, that would make life about all the best things out there! 🌄🌃🌎🌌

You will eventually become it."
